Amy Hawes is a MA TV alumni with a degree in English from the University of Edinburgh. After graduation from GCU in 2014, she continued to work on numerous television programmes as a researcher, producer, and writer.

She’s been a junior storyliner and storyline researcher on River City, a storyline researcher on Hollyoaks, a casting researcher on Eggheads and an event producer for the Xpo North Festival 2016. More recently, Amy has been in the children's department of BBC Scotland where she has researched on Cbeebies' Down on the Farm, CBBC's Lifebabble and All Over the Place, which involves writing and creating online content.
