Amy has been a junior storyliner and storyline researcher on River City, a storyline researcher on Hollyoaks, and a drama development assistant for Headstrong Pictures. More recently she has specialised wholly in children's television. She is currently an Assistant Producer for Cbeebies 'Junk Rescue' at Hello Halo, and spent two years prior to this working in-house at the BBC Children's department. Highlights during this time included writing live links for CBBC HQ and writing and directing for 'All Over the Place: Asia' in India, Laos and Vietnam.

In 2018 Amy received her first episode-length television writing credits. She was commissioned to write an episode of brand new Cbeebies drama 'Molly and Mack', filmed summer 2018 in Glasgow's Film City studios ('Shy'), which was quickly followed by two episodes of Cbeebies 'Biggleton' ('The Lost Mole' and 'Cock-a-doodle-doo!'), filmed at Media City UK during summer 2018. As well as writing for television, Amy is a playwright and founding member of 'Tandem Writing Collective', staging new theatre writing in pubs across Edinburgh and Glasgow. In March 2018 she staged her first full length play 'Lifeline' at The Old Hairdressers in Glasgow.
