Why did you choose GCU?

I was looking to study outside of Italy, I wanted to experience a different culture and school system. Knowing English, I chose the UK and particularly Glasgow as I knew it was a very vibrant city. I chose GCU because of the impact the University has on social life and the Common Good and because they welcome a high number of foreign students. The fees are good too, not too expensive.

How would you describe your experience at GCU?

I had an amazing experience at GCU, the teachers and staff are very helpful and welcoming and I met wonderful people and shared my experience with students from all over the world. The classes were interesting and full of discussions, I discovered many new things and I feel I have grown a lot during my course.

What are your fondest memories of GCU?

All the meetings I had with my project groups, I am grateful for my classmates, they were the best I could have asked for. I spent a fantastic week with my class in Finland and I miss spending my days in the GCU library, definitely one of my favourite places!

How would you describe the quality of the teaching and support you received from GCU?

I found the teaching method completely different from the one I was used to in my home country but at the same time, I found it more useful and efficient. The lecturers made every class very engaging and they made me want to learn more and more. I received great support from GCU, the staff was always ready to help and it was easy to fix any kind of problem.

Can you tell us how you coped with the transition to online learning during the pandemic?

The transition was quite fast and smooth, it was a different learning experience, but I missed the class environment and the social part of it.

It was difficult but with the help of the lectures, it was easy to make the transition.
