Why did you choose GCU?

When I was looking for universities for my MSc Pharmacology I came across GCU. I chose GCU not only because of its high ranking worldwide but also because of the friendly response I got from the University. I remember I met with the University staff when they visited my country, they were so friendly and humble and they answered my every query and made me satisfied in the end.

How would you describe your experience at GCU?

Talking about experience at GCU was superb. Coming from a different country and leaving your parents was tough. But the kind of love, help, support and guidance I got made me comfortable and helped me to go through tough times. If I would get a chance to come and study again I will definitely come.

What are your fondest memories of GCU?

I could write a chapter on memories at GCU. But my favourite memory is the induction week organised by the Students' Association. It was a new beginning for me and I was very nervous but I was warmly welcomed by the University. That made it feel like home. All the events such as the Christmas market, enchanted forest, Harry Potter tour, etc., made it all memorable. And I made some beautiful friends at GCU, especially Marino and Tanesha, and they treated me like a family and I am still in contact with them.

How would you describe the quality of the teaching and support you received from GCU?

The quality of teaching was excellent. I mean I have never seen so much professionalism and the input our teaching staff put to make things easy for us. The door-to-door policy was superb because it made me think that I am not alone and everyone is there to support me and properly guide me. And events such as well-being calmed us from the stress that we are having.

Can you tell us how you coped with the transition to online learning during the pandemic?

At first, everyone was really confused and had no idea how to cope with this. We Students obviously thinking about our studies that were affected due to Covid-19. But again thanks to University management to come up with the best policies to cope with this pandemic. Online teaching was definitely a new thing for everyone, but slowly and gradually we all become used to it. Special thanks to the teaching staff again, who put in excellent efforts to make sure that students didn’t suffer.
