"Don't be afraid to change course whilst you are young."
Isabelle Ugochukwu

Isabelle is the definition of a woman with a lot of strings to her bow. After moving from France to Scotland, she completed a BSc degree in Biochemistry and Business then came to GCU for a masters in International Project management and now her successful passion project is designing luxurious handbags. She took a few minutes out of her hectic schedule to chat with us.

How was your time at GCU?

I chose to study at GCU because I wanted to do International Project Management and it is the best course in the UK which was handy because I happened to live in Glasgow at the time.

How has your career progressed since GCU?

I worked my way up the corporate ladder, first as a Graduate Project Manager and then all the way up to Senior Project and Programme Manager before changing course and becoming a leather accessories designer.

What are your words of wisdom?

Don't be afraid to change course whilst you are young. It's normal to end up doing something that has nothing to do with your original degree or with what you wanted to be when you first went to university.
