Kevin Gilday, MA TV alumni, is a writer and performer who credits GCU for his success:

Whilst he writes page poetry, performance poetry, pieces fir theatre, TV, radio, film, prose and short stories, Kevin also has a successful performance career as a spoken word artist. He performs poetry as part of a narrative story or as a stand-alone set.

He is the winner of the StAnza Digital Slam, the Creative Stirling Slam, the Four Cities Slam, the Four Styles Slam and a four time Scottish National Slam finalist. His theatre has been showcased in spaces such as The Tron Theatre, St. Luke's, Oran Mor and Tarragon Theatre (Toronto).

Kevin has performed all over the world including the BBC 6 Music Festival, Edinburgh Fringe, Toronto Fringe, Wickerman, Belladrum, Lingo (Dublin) and Glastonbury Festivals. His writing has appeared in publications and websites around the world while his series of videos created for BBC The Social have been viewed by over 100,000 people.
