David Cosgrove is a former MA TV student who is well versed in radio, television and theatre.

As a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts, David is also a lecturer in screen and comedy writing at the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.

Most recently, he has written the play A Different Drum which stars and is directed by friend of GCU, Libby McArthur. This show will premiere at the Glasgow International Comedy Festival 2017.

His CITV series Uncle Dad won him a Scottish BAFTA for Best Children’s TV. He has also commissioned plays for Oran Mor, Mull Theatre, Borderline, Pavilion Glasgow, Scottish Youth Theatre and The Buzz Project. His hit musical 3 Steps to Heaven has had three number one UK tours for Gateway, Chester, and Perth Theatre.
