Tell us in more detail what your role entails, what challenges you currently face, and how you are finding ways to cope.

I am working as a staff nurse in Cardiothorasic intensive Care and have been so for the past 6 months. I absolutely love my job and have learned so much since qualifying. With the current health care crisis we are seeing more and more returning and redeployed nursing staff in our department (meaning I'm already no longer the newbie). which is amazing to see how everyone is pulling together in such difficult times, yet highlights just how important it is to follow our nursing code of practice and continue to work within our own capabilities and seek support when required, even in challenging situations. Our patients and their care is, and always will be our #1 priority!

Do you have a top tip for coping at a time of crisis? Or a few words of advice or support for fellow students and alumni on the front line?
