Tell us a little bit about yourself!
My name is Brittany and I am from Pottsville, Pennsylvania. I am 24 and working in Product Development on the Women’s 1941 handbag team at Coach. I am a lover of coffee, buffalo chicken pizza and Paris.

Can you give us the highlights of your career thus far?
As a developer, I get to see the lifecycle of the product from a sketch to when it is approved for production.  We are very involved in the process from working with materials teams, design, merchandising and our New York Work Shop. I also do a very large amount of costing. No two days are ever the same so it always keeps me on my feet!

What made you want to pursue a Master's Degree at this point in your career?
I was not in a rush to go to Grad school. I am still a recent grad with A LOT of student loan debt.  I recently gained a mentor in the marketing field and really became interested in her career path and obsessed with learning more about marketing.  Also around that time, a student in the first cohort reached out to me about joining the program in the April class. It felt like everything fell into place at the right time and I couldn’t be happier with my decision.

Why GCNYC specifically?
I chose GCNYC because I believed that something bigger was happening here. Like I would be a part of something greater. I believed I would be pushed to think differently and learn a new set of skills. I believed that I would grow into a leader, grow into the next chapter of myself and grow into a voice that I could use to speak about things that I believe in.

What gets you out of bed every morning, driving you to affect change? In other words, what's your purpose?
I am on a journey to constantly be better than who I was yesterday and to see how far I can push myself. I believe that my potential is endless and that by overcoming great struggles, I can achieve great success. I know I will change the world and I am capable of achieving my dreams.
