"Just before I started at Glasgow College of Technology I was part of a theatre group from Easterhouse which was touring a play called Krassivy.  We had just won a Fringe First award in Edinburgh and were playing a few Glasgow high spots: the Special Unit at Barlinnie Prison, the old Third Eye Centre in Sauchiehall Street and the Students’ Union at GCT.  The play went down well. It celebrated the life of Glasgow socialist John MacLean and was written by the late, great Freddy Anderson.  Freddy’s archive is now housed at GCU Archives which is fitting given the warm welcome we got there in 1979.  For me it was a good introduction to GCT and as a student I very much enjoyed the next four years there!"
