GCU Development & Alumni Relations need student fundraisers

DARO run a campaign every year

The Development & Alumni Relations team are currently looking for eager, hardworking and dedicated students to work on our annual telephone campaign, starting in March 2013.

The job is simple: we speak to alumni of Glasgow Caledonian University, helping to re-establish and strengthen their relationship with their old University. We also ask our alumni to make gifts to the Brighter Futures Fund which will support student services this year including clubs and societies as well as scholarships.

As well as earning £7.50 an hour, working for the Brighter Futures Fund is a great opportunity to improve your communication skills and gain valuable material for your CV. You will learn lots about the University and educational fundraising in general. You will get to talk to graduates of all ages and backgrounds and you will be part of a friendly, sociable and hard-working team.

Callers must be available for training on Saturday 2nd and Sunday 3rd March 2013.

The calling sessions will take place on campus from Monday 4th March to Sunday 24th March. Weekday calling shifts will be 6pm to 9pm. Weekend shifts will be 11am to 5pm both Saturday and Sunday. Callers will be required to work a minimum of two weekdays and one weekend shift per week.

If you are interested in this opportunity please complete this short online questionnaire about yourself and your availability.  If you are shortlisted you will be asked to attend a 75 minute recruitment session on Tuesday 22nd January.

You must have the right to live and work in the United Kingdom to apply for this vacancy and speak excellent English.
