Nominations open for GCU-sponsored Glasgow Business Award

GCU is sponsoring the Best Performing Business award

Nominations are now being accepted for the Glasgow School for Business and Society sponsored Glasgow Business Award.

Now in its 15th year, the Glasgow Business Awards have grown to be considered the Oscars of the business world and Glasgow Caledonian University is proud to recognise innovative organisations that show a determination to drive their businesses forward.

The award for Best Performing Business (over 25 employees), sponsored by Glasgow School for Business and Society, GCU, is aimed at larger businesses. Entrants must demonstrate key characteristics such as strong leadership and a clearly defined vision for achieving growth through strategic objectives. Performance will be measured and the organisation’s culture must be shown to encourage employee development, creativity and empowerment. Employees will demonstrate strong proactive relationships with customers and suppliers and should be able to present a strong performance record and explain how their business differentiates itself from the competition.

Stuart Patrick, Glasgow Chamber of Commerce Chief Executive, said: “I’d like to encourage all members and businesses based in the city and the surrounding area to enter. The Glasgow Business Awards allow us to acknowledge the immense amount businesses across the city and beyond contribute to the economy in these challenging times, ensuring Glasgow remains Scotland’s economic powerhouse. Businesses are at the heart of life in Glasgow and deliver so much of what makes the city great. That’s something we should celebrate.”
