GCU shortlisted for the Game Changer Awards

GCU has been shortlisted for the Game Changer Awards, one of three finalists in the Learning and Skills category.

The Learning and Skills category recognises a project or initiative in which college and higher education institutions have used Glasgow 2014 and its legacy goals as an opportunity to develop skills and capabilities.

GCU has been shortlisted for its work with Glasgow schools and the Celtic FC Foundation Charity.

Staff and students from the School of Engineering and Built Environment have been collaborating on an innovative digital educational programme which supports the development of digital skills in Glasgow schools. This programme includes a wide range of activities which are linked to the theme of the Commonwealth Games 2014, promoting the legacy priorities of Glasgow 2014.

The Game Changer Awards 2014 is a one-off event to recognise and celebrate the varied and significant contributions that Scotland’s colleges and higher education institutions are making to every aspect of the Games and to sport in Scotland.
