GCU and Santander offer SMEs part-funded three month internships

Santander Interns is an exciting initiative providing SMEs with the opportunity to employ final year students and University graduates for a three month paid internship of any discipline.

The programme offers SMEs (less than 250 employees & a turnover of less than £50m) the opportunity to employ a graduate, undergraduate or postgraduate student on a fixed term project identified by you. Santander will provide match funding through the University of £1,500 (approx. 50%) towards the project with the remaining cost to be met by the company. The SME may choose to offer a higher salary if it wishes. However, Santander's funding will be capped at £1,500. Internships can be in any field or sector.

GCU will advertise Internship job profiles on our Shared Vacancy Service, which is accessed by graduates (up to two years) and final year students. We will also actively promote Internship opportunities to students through Programme Course Leaders in the University and to graduates through our Alumni Relations Office.

Interns submit their CVs for positions and are chosen by the business offering the internship. Internships must commence prior to June 2014.
