Anastasia Steel

Congratulations to Anastasia Steel who graduated with a BEng (Hons) Computer Aided Mechanical Engineering. Anastasia shares her GCU experience below as part of our #ClassOf2021 spotlights:

“It’s difficult to pick only one favourite memory from my time at GCU. There have been so many fantastic moments from dancing on stage with The LaFontaines at Fresher’s Week in 2018 to working at an Explorathon event at the Riverside Museum, but ultimately I’ve made so many incredible memories with my friends. The people I’ve met through university are among the best people I have in my life and, while I actually haven’t been able to see them physically for a very long time, I’m really going to miss being with them on a regular basis. I’ll never forget all the memories we’ve made together.

“I’m really going to miss working as a Student Mentor with the GCU Outreach department. Being a mentor allowed me to take some much-needed time off my studies while still leaving a positive impact by engaging with school pupils within the Glasgow community. It’s been an incredibly rewarding job opportunity that has increased my passion for the promotion of STEM subjects, and it has significantly increased my confidence. Becoming a Student Mentor was one of the best decisions I made at university and I’m really going to miss it when I graduate.”

Congratulations Anastasia your hard work has paid off. We are proud of each and every one of our graduates. We wish you all the very best for the future and hope you keep in touch.
