Kehinde Oyelowo Akingbehin

Congratulations to Kehinde Oyelowo Akingbehin who graduated with a MBA – Global Business from our GCU London campus. Kehinde is our next #ClassOf2020 spotlight as he shares his GCU London experience below:

“Going into my Master’s degree, specialising in Global Business, I was prepared for a year of hard work, commitment and long nights in order to complete my dissertation. For some, this workload would have been deemed demanding, however at GCU London the support provided to me as a mature student and others, was able to alleviate the stress produced from this burden.

“The Roof Terrace is a great site after working strenuously. I have had the pleasure of visiting the terrace many times myself and the break from work in a calm environment, was able to relieve myself of stress and restore my mind into a healthier place.

“Another way guidance was provided to those completing the Master’s Degree at GCU London was through Dissertation Support groups assisting students writing their dissertations through help with methodology and referencing. This program was highly beneficial, being one-to-one they provided high quality interaction and further guidance.

“GCU London’s motto ‘The Common Good’ is translated in these student experiences in which these attributes are achieved: Active and Global Citizenship, Confidence, Responsible Leadership, Entrepreneurial Mind-set. For me, the Entrepreneurial mindset is the attribute which has resonated in my life, because I have been able to develop my problem solving and creative thinking skills whilst studying at GCU London. Moreover, the school has provided opportunities for me to develop the other attributes by participating in extracurricular activities.

“Walking into the school to hand in my dissertation is a moment I will remember forever. With my head held high, I remember feeling a sense of pride having completed this workload early, despite competing demands for my time. Without the facilities provided in GCU London and the approachable, helpful tutors, completing this dissertation would have been a lot more challenging and stressful.”

Congratulations Kehinde and thank you for sharing your experience. We are proud of each and every one of our graduates. We wish you all the very best for the future and hope you keep in touch.
