Michael Lee Richardson is a writer and youth worker and graduated with distinction from the MA TV course.

"I really enjoyed my time on the course. I learned a lot, especially about long-running drama and how to structure a story. I think it's been invaluable in terms of my confidence - it's really affected the way I carry myself now."
Michael Richardson, MA TV Fiction Writing 2011

He has written comedy and animation for CBBC and BBC Alba, and is currently developing a new romantic comedy series.

Michael received the Scottish Book Trust New Writers Award (Children’s and Young Adult) in 2015, and his comedy scripts have been shortlisted for BAFTA Rocliffe New Comedy Award and ‘highly commended’ for the Trans Comedy Award.
