Student Support

One of our objectives in developing the MSc Advanced Internetwork Engineering was to provide a new way for students to build up CCIE level skills.  Our one year full time programme allows us to offer the kind of in-person support and structured study plan that is missing from existing offerings.

The short, intensive bootcamps and distance learning products traditionally used by working engineers to prepare for CCIE certification demand a great deal of self-motivation and offer very limited interaction with other students and few opportunities to ask questions.

GCU have partnered with the leaders in CCIE preparation, Internetwork Expert Inc. (INE) to bring you a unique opportunity to develop the excellent hands-on skills valued by employers and needed for the CCIE lab exam. Using the renowned INE CCIE Routing and Switching Workbook and remote rack management systems, we use world leading materials in the most flexible environment to develop your skills.

Every week throughout the taught programme, extensive instructor led labs help you build your confidence with the support of an instructor on hand to answer your questions - something that a distance learning or CPD course cannot provide.  Being in the lab with you also allows us to track your progress, identify areas you may be having difficulties with and address them quickly in the lab so that you are not carrying a misunderstanding forward.

The 24/7 flexibility provided by our remote rack systems allow you to save your work at the end of a timetabled lab class on campus and pick up exactly where you left off at a time or place suitable for you.  Our equipment is always up to date and provides a training environment as close as possible to the real CCIE lab exam.

By the end of the course you will be amazed at how far you have come.
