Going Digital Framework

GCU has a novel, pedagogical framework entitled “Going Digital” that underpins how we design and facilitate our digital learning from 2020/21 and beyond. At the centre of the framework is a set of 12 pedagogic principles whose delivery is underpinned by four enabling pillars (Figure 1. below).

‌Pedagogical Principles of Learning

Four enabling Pillars underpinning the 12 Pedagogic Principles of Digital Learning are:

  • Enabling Pillar 1: Guidelines for quality and standards of digital learning
  • Enabling Pillar 2: Key tools to support digital learning
  • Enabling Pillar 3: Building digital learning capabilities
  • Enabling Pillar 4: Evaluation strategy
