Teaching Skills for PhD Students

Academic development for PhD students commencing teaching at GCU

The University offers the Introduction to Teaching Skills programme to support PhD students at GCU who intend to take on teaching responsibilities as Graduate Teaching Assistants (GTAs). It is now mandatory to complete the Introduction to Teaching Skills prior to embarking on teaching as a PhD student at GCU.  This comprises a block of four half day workshops.  Two blocks are available each trimester to provide some flexibility in opportunities to attend. You can explore an overview of the programme here

GTAs only need to attend one Block on one occasion.
