About the Voluntary Sector Research Centre
The Voluntary Sector Research Centre is a dedicated research facility within Caledonian Business School at Glasgow Caledonian University.
Established in the late nineteen nineties, the creation of the Centre was a response to the increasing role and influence attributed to the Voluntary Sector in today's society.
What became apparent was that despite it's growing importance as a service provider and major employer, it is a sector often neglected by mainstream academic research.
As a forward thinking, innovative institution, Glasgow Caledonian University has sought to address this important issue and build beneficial partnerships with voluntary sector organisations through the VSRC.
