Professor Mike Mannion

Mike Mannion Vice Principal & Pro Vice-Chancellor  (Research)

Professor Mike Mannion gained his first degree in Computer Science from Brunel University, and went on to graduate with an MBA from the Open University and a PhD in Artificial Intelligence from the University of Bristol. After several years working as a software developer, Mike took up the roles of Lecturer and Senior Lecturer at Edinburgh Napier University from 1992 to 2000.  He joined Glasgow Caledonian University in 2000 as Head of the Department of Computing  and subsequently became Dean of the School of Computing and Mathematical Sciences in 2002.  He led the merger of the school with the School of Engineering, Science and Design to form the School of Engineering and Computing.  From 2008-2010 he was Vice-Principal (International) and from 2010-2012 he was Vice-Principal (Learning & Teaching).  His principal research interests are in Software Product Line Engineering.
