Mr David Beeby
Executive Director of Finance & Vice Principal (International)
Mr David Beeby joined the University as the Executive Director of Finance in July 2007. David is responsible for Finance, Corporate Planning and Information Services within the University. Previously, he was the Chief Financial Officer at the University of Nottingham, where he was instrumental in growing the University’s turnover from £150m to £400m and led financial and legal negotiations for the £50m investment in campuses with Malaysia and China.
David has a degree in Mathematics and Management Sciences from the University of Manchester. He has worked for many private sector industries in various financial and accounting capacities, including Financial Controller of the Wellcome Foundation. He has held numerous directorships, including Trent College Limited, and Nottingham Commercial and Industrial Enterprise Limited.
David is a former pension fund trustee and is the post-92 Universities in Scotland representative on the national HE pensions working group.
