Professor Veronica (Nicky) James
Professor Veronica (Nicky) James, RGN, MA, PhD, a former Head of the School of Nursing and Director of Postgraduate Studies, School of Nursing, Midwifery and Physiotherapy at the University of Nottingham, is the Executive Dean of the School of Health and Life Sciences.
Previously Head of School of Nursing and a former Director of Postgraduate Studies, School of Nursing, Midwifery and Physiotherapy at the University of Nottingham, Professor Nicky James has also held the role Director of International Affairs there. Professor James has been an executive member of the Council of Deans of Nursing and AHPS and has also acted as a reviewer for education and research provision in Scotland, Wales, Pakistan, China and East Africa. She is a trustee for ‘Self-Help Nottingham’, has worked at the University of Swansea and was Director of the Birmingham Homeless Alcoholics Recovery Project. Professor James completed an MA and PhD at the University of Aberdeen.
