CU There on Second Life
Welcome to a new world
CU There is Glasgow Caledonian's Second Life project. The project team is using the 3D virtual world to investigate the possibilities for publicity and promotion and the development of educational tools to assist in teaching and learning, as well as researching the technology behind Second Life itself.
The university's Second Life team has built a GCU "island" in Second Life, holds workshops on the creations of buildings and objects in Second Life, and is investigating the platform's business uses.
