GCULearn has arrived !
The role of the VLE (Virtual Learning Environment) or "Blackboard" as it was previously known at GCU, is rapidly changing to become more than a single technology ‘product’. Blackboard now forms only part of the picture as it becomes a ‘hub’ or core learning platform capable of being extended by other systems and learning technologies that integrate seamlessly with it to expand and enrich the online learning experience.
Staff and students at Glasgow Caledonian University now only need to go to one place in order to access course materials, announcements, blogs, wikis, podcasts, TurnItIn, videos, digitized content, and other resources. In recognition of this evolution, GCU's VLE has been given a new name to reflect the new direction and emphasis, "GCULearn"
