International Strategic Partnerships
Developing global partnerships
Glasgow Caledonian’s excellent international reputation stems not only from our award-winning support for international students at the University, but also our work with our many partners around the world.
We continue to work in partnership in Oman on the successful Caledonian College of Engineering, which was established 13 years ago, including the possibility of staff and student exchanges.
We have developed a strong learning partnership with the University of Jinan, in the Province of Shandong to provide joint degree offerings, articulation pathways, and student and staff exchanges. Around 200 students are currently studying undergraduate courses, designed by GCU and UJN, in Environmental Civil Engineering and Finance, Investment and Risk in Shandong. Some of these students will undertake part of their degree programme in Glasgow.
Our School of Engineering and Computing and has undertaken joint research projects with East China University of Science & Technology since 2002 and have had been a constant stream of research co-operation, exchange of scholars and researchers, joint PhD programs, and conference organisation.
We have recently entered into partnership with the Santander Universities Global Division. The partnership will join the University with the Santander Universities network of more than 700 universities in Spain, Portugal, Latin-America, China, Morocco, Russia, the US and the UK. The partnership engages universities in the network to support the development of initiatives relating to, teaching, mobility, research, culture and global projects
We are working together with the BZU in Multan, Pakistan on a shared commitment to the provision of high quality education through establishing joint research, faculty development and conference organisation.
We are working in partnership with the University of Rajasthan to explore academic and research collaborations with a view to developing joint degree offerings and engaging in student and staff exchanges
