University Court
Welcome to the University Court
The University Court is the University’s governing body and has key responsibilities in relation to the University's overall strategic direction and for ensuring that the University's business is conducted in accordance with the terms of the Glasgow Caledonian University Order of Council 2010.
The main responsibilities of the University Court are as follows:
• Providing advice on statutory, procedural and governance matters to Court and its Standing Committees;
• Providing a secretariat service to Court and its Standing Committees;
• Providing administrative support to Court and its Standing Committees;
• Administering the University’s insurance portfolio and providing advice on insurance matters;
• Overseeing the University’s legal services and acting as the first point of contact with the University lawyers
