At Glasgow Caledonian University, we understand the many challenges that people face in reaching higher education. We are working hard, as part of our social mission, to address these barriers to participation in a quality education. One issue is cost. We know that many of our students must work to support themselves and their families. We would like to help people considering applying to the university to reduce that concern as much as possible.
So, we have launched Building Better Futures as a major institutional focus that, over the coming years, will see additional funds being made available to help those who want to study at GCU, but who need to minimise the financial burden. All of our programmes are available by competition and broadly the following criteria must be met:
Many of our programmes offer scholarships or bursaries for one year, but most can be applied for in more than one year of study. We would encourage anyone who wants to come to GCU, and requires financial assistance, to contact the university as early as possible to explore the options available.
