Who are our Students?

Glasgow Caledonian University has about 900 FTE (full-time equivalent) postgraduate students, including 25% in research and 75% in taught Masters courses. In total, we have approximately 400 research students, 50% of whom are part-time or working towards a professional doctorate in their workplace. Many of our research students are lifelong learners returning to education after gaining valuable work experience. The research student population is also culturally diverse, with students from over fifty countries.

Together with the academic staff, our students form a close knit research community within the schools and across the university as members of the Caledonian Graduate Centre.
