Entry requirements

Undergraduate

  • Gaokao – 450/750 (or 60% of the total mark if total is not out of 750) for direct entry to year one
  • Gaokao – 525/750 (or 70% of the total mark if total is not out of 750) for direct entry to year two
  • Senior Secondary School Graduation Certificate at minimum 70% in each subject for Level 1 entry
  • Zhuanke / Dazhuan and Gaozhi suitable for Level 2 or 3 entry
  • Advanced entry to Level 2 or 3 possible with equivalent study from bachelor's degree 

Postgraduate taught

For entry to MSc and MBA degree, we typically accept four-year bachelor's degree at grade 65% from a tier one university and 70% from a tier two or tier three university.

A three-year Junior College plus a two-year undergraduate degree may also be considered.

English language requirements

Alumni ambassadors

GCU has alumni ambassadors around the world who kindly volunteer to provide current or prospective students with practical advice on what to expect when they arrive at GCU and how to make the most of their time at university.  

Furthermore, the ambassadors are a point of contact for GCU alumni based overseas and can offer useful tips on settling into a new country or setting up an event or networking opportunity.

There are many ways that you can find out about studying at Glasgow Caledonian University. The Enquiries Office is open from Monday to Friday from 9:30am until 4:30pm, and is closed on Saturday and Sundays.
