Glasgow Caledonian University has been rated Scotland’s best international student experience four times in a row, and our overseas student support has been rated the best in the UK at the Times Higher Education Awards 2008.

We provide support and advice for all international students. ISSS provide Visa & Immigration Advice (we are the only qualified team at GCU do offer this), process visa applications, including Tier 4 Student Visas and extensions and offer support for all personal enquiries.

We have drop-in sessions, daily appointments and run visa workshops. To book an appointment, please contact isss@gcu.ac.uk or visit our office M111, George Moore Building.

We host a Welcome Programme including welcome desk on campus, Meet & Greet Service at Glasgow Airport, social events and more. Our Professional Global Passport is a programme of free events focused on employability skills and you can also join in our Culture and Faith activities.

TB Screening Note

Applicants from certain countries/regions require a certificate to show that they are free from infectious pulmonary tuberculosis (TB). 

Please check the UKBA website for countries requiring TB screening

If you are from one of the listed countries it is advisable you carry your TB screening certificate with you in your hand luggage should you require to present it to a UK Immigration Officer.
