Information for part-time undergraduate students

  • If this is your first degree and you are on certain benefits or have a low income (about the same level as benefits), you may be entitled to a ‘Fee Waiver’, so you won’t have to pay all or some of your tuition fees. You can get an application form by asking at the Base in the Saltire Centre. If you can get your fees waived, we will send you a confirmation letter. You must apply for a Fee Waiver as soon as you start your course as funds may be limited.
  • You can apply to the Discretionary Fund for help towards study costs, travel or childcare costs whilst attending classes.
  • If you have a disability, and are studying at least 50% of a full-time course, you may be eligible for the disabled students' allowance.
  • You may be entitled to a Part-Time Fee Grant of £500 from SAAS if you are not eligible for the Fee Waiver scheme. You must apply no later than one month after starting your course.
