Information for students on Nursing & Midwifery courses

• You can apply for the Nursing and Midwifery Student Bursary
• If you have dependants, you may be eligible for SAAS supplementary allowances
• If you have registered childcare costs while studying or on placement, find out about financial assistance for students with children
• If you have a disability you may be eligible for the Disabled Students Allowance
• Placements - you can apply to SAAS for travel and accommodation costs. Forms are available from the School of Nursing, Midwifery & Community Health
• Other sources of funding

Funding which nursing students are not eligible for

If your course is fully funded by a Nursing and Midwifery Student bursary you will not be entitled to apply for either the Student loan or to the Discretionary fund.
