Information for full-time postgraduate students

Postgraduate programmes are not always funded. This page shows what funding may be available.

If you have a disability you may be eligible for the disabled students' allowance (DSA).

Students living in Scotland

The Student Awards Agency for Scotland (SAAS) decides which of our postgraduate diploma programmes are eligible for funding. If your course is on the list of approved courses and you meet the SAAS eligibility conditions, you will now be able to apply to SAAS for a post graduate loan to cover up to £3,400 towards your tuition fees for academic year 2012/13. This loan support is non means tested and is available for all approved full and part time courses.

For more information about post graduate tution fee loans contact SAAS

There is no support available for living costs from SAAS and therefore you should work out your living cost budget and funding before starting your course. See 'More advice' section below for further funding information.

More advice

For all other postgraduate courses not eligible for SAAS tuition fee loan support, you will have to find your own funding.

If you have to pay your own tuition fees or living costs, there are various sources of information on how to find funding.

You should also contact the School which offers the course you want to take, to find out if they know about other funding you might be able to get.
