Placement and fieldwork costs

Some programmes include unpaid placements. These are sometimes during the summer period. Try to get as much information as possible from your teaching division or School about when and where the placements will be, and whether you will have to pay any extra costs, such as housing or travelling expenses. This way you can plan ahead.

You may be able to receive help towards placement costs outwith term time through the Opportunity Bursary. You can find more information about the Opportunity Bursary by contacting a Funding Adviser through the Base on 0141 273 1000.

If your placement mean that you can't work part-time, you can also find out about other sources of funding.
