Disabled Students - Special exam
arrangements
If you are disabiled and need special exam arrangements to
be put in place (for example extra time, a scribe or a separate
room), contact the Disability
Service as early as possible (preferably prior to the start of your course).
Don’t assume that arrangements will be made automatically
- even if you have had individual exam arrangements in the past
- even if you know that the University is aware of your illness, impairment or specific learning difficulty
- particularly if you have had time out or transferred programme.
What’s involved?
We will need to arrange a needs assessment to determine the type
of adjustments to exams you will need. The Disability
Service will be able to arrange this for you.
Check the Assessment
Regulations for full information on special exam arrangements.
Class Tests
Class tests are the responsibility of your teaching division/School.
Make sure that you let your module tutor know what you need well
before any class test so that arrangements can be made.
