Wireless Access

The wireless network at Caledonian University is available in the following areas:

Staff, students and guests can use the wireless network with either GCU owned and operated equipment or their own equipment. Network access levels are granted depending on whom you are and where you wish to access the wireless network and what equipment you wish to use. The University currently has around 250 wireless access points in the above locations.

The wireless network is based on the 802.11a/g/n technology, commonly known as wifi logoand should be accessible for anyone with this logo. The service offers full roaming capability and will allow users to stay connected as they move around the areas where wireless is available.

The system has been tested with Microsoft Windows 7, Vista, XP and Mac OSX 10.3 and above.
