How do I set up a security word?

Your security word is used to securely verify your identity when calling the IT Helpdesk.

When you call for a password reset, IT Helpdesk staff will ask you to confirm two random letters from your security word before proceeding.

If you are unable to confirm your security word, or do not have one setup, we will be unable to reset your passwords over the phone. You will be provided with alternative password reset options.

To set up your security word:

1. Log in to My Caledonian
2. Click on the Me(Student) tab
3. Click on the 'Set your security question and word' link
4. Select one of the security questions, enter your answer & click 'Submit'
