Frequently Asked Questions

Q. Where can I find samples of SNDRí resources?

A. Sample copies of SNDRí diet-sheets (PDF versions) are found on the Published Leafletspage under the appropriate nutritional topic. Diet-sheets are available for purchase and samples are provided for your information only. The samples provided are copyright protected and MUST NOT be copied or used with patients/clients.

Q. Can I order single/sample leaflets?

A. Sample copies of all the diet-sheets are available to download from the Published Leaflets page.

Q. I am a dietitian and would like to gain access to the dietitians’ diet-sheets and order form, how do I do this?

A. Diet-sheets in the D range must be given to patients/clients with the support of a dietitian. These diet-sheets and the Dietitians' Order Form are password protected; registered dietitians can request a username and password by emailing the SNDRí team at sndri@gcal.ac.uk stating your name, health professional council registration (HPC) number, job title and place of work.

Q. Why are there different ranges?

A. SNDRí diet-sheets are divided into three ranges that provide different types of diet and nutritional information. The development group agrees how much support the target patient/client group will require when being issued with the diet-sheet. SNDRí put the diet-sheet in the appropriate range when it is published. This ensures that the information is communicated and understood appropriately. The three ranges are:

D – should be given to patients/clients with the support of a dietitian. These resources are password protected; registered dietitians can request a username and password by contacting the SNDRí team.
HP – should be given to patients/clients with the support of a relevant health or care professional.
PiL – general nutrition information for members of the public to pick up.

Q. What are the benefits of purchasing SNDRi's published leaflets rather than producing resources 'in-house'?

A. SNDRí diet-sheets aim to give consistent health messages and avoid duplication of effort by other health related professionals. A robust production cycle ensures that all the nutrition and diet resources are developed following a robust and consistent process.

All SNDRí resources:

  • are evidence-based
  • are peer-reviewed
  • involve patients within the development stage
  • are free from commercial bias.

As part of SNDRí’s ongoing aim to achieve best value for money, it has developed a paper that aims to describe the costs and benefits associated with producing quality centralised nutrition and diet resources.
