Welcome to the Department of Social Work. This is an exciting time for social work within Scotland as recent policy drivers such as the new social work degree and the Changing Lives report has placed renewed emphasis on developing the professional of social work and ensuring that today’s graduates are prepared for social work in the 21st century. As part of the School of Health and Social Care, the department is uniquely placed to capitalise on this changing landscape and the increasing interchange between health and social care.
