Entry requirements
There are entry requirement details attached to each programme on the website and the international advisor can tell you how your international qualifications compare to the UK levels stated.
English language standards
If your native language is not English, you will be required to demonstrate your English proficiency by gaining an English language qualification prior to the commencement of your programme. Minimum requirements are detailed below, however higher levels may be required for entry onto certain programmes:
- IELTS average score of 6 (no element less than 5.5)
- TOEFL 550 (213 for computer course)
The University also offers English Language and Academic Study Skills courses to help international students prepare for life at a Scottish University.
Application procedures
Undergraduates should apply through UCAS, the Universities and Colleges Admissions Service. Forms are available from the International Office, the British Council or from UCAS. Postgraduate applicants should visit our section on postgraduate admissions.
Closing date for applications
For Undergraduate applications all deadlines and closing dates are set by UCAS please visit www.ucas.com for more information.
For Postgraduate applications, although there is no closing date for applications to most programmes, the sooner you apply, the better. Places on these programmes can fill up quickly, so it is advisable to send in your application early. This will also allow you to make all of the necessary preparations in plenty of time.
