Join us for the Research and Postgraduate Open Event 2017
Thursday 15th June 2017, 3pm – 7pm, Hamish Wood Building, Glasgow Caledonian University
This exciting event is an annual celebration of GCU’s multi-disciplinary approach to research and educational excellence.
It will feature a central exhibition area, which brings together GCU’s unique research strengths and our wide range of postgraduate study options. As the University for the Common Good, GCU’s research and educational provision addresses three major societal challenges, enabling communities in the UK and internationally to build Inclusive Societies and live Healthy Lives in Sustainable Environments.
This event enables you to investigate the ways in which our research and educational activities are working to tackle these issues, in a real, measurable way. Plus we do so in a way that serves our students, producing graduates who are entrepreneurial, confident and capable of making a difference. It’s no surprise that we have a graduate employment rate of 96% (HESA, 2016).
You will also be able to find out more about the postgraduate application process, be that for full or part-time study – as well as advice on possible funding options and our exciting range of scholarships. Plus our range of award winning support services will be on hand, to chat to you about everything from the Students' Association and careers advice, to the opportunities to collaborate on research or develop a KTP.
There will also be the opportunity to hear form a range of guest speakers, including Sir Michael Marmot, who has been leading research on health inequalities for the last 35 years and is currently the Director of The UCL Institute of Health Equity.
