have been drawn together to act as a cross-domain unit to enhance
our range of user services, and to maximise team working and collaboration.
It is our aim to eventually provide seamless access to all catalogues
and lists detailing all Research Collections learning
resources, and for staff to increasingly share their expertise across
a range of projects and initiatives.

The Ewan MacColl Memorial Concert
The Centre for Political Song hosted a very successful event on the 24 October. Headlining the concert was the outstanding activist, writer and performer Peggy Seeger. Also appearing were: Finlay Allison, Frankie Armstrong, Bob Blair, John Faulkner, David Ferrard, Sandra Kerr, Gordeanna McCulloch, Jimmie McGregor, Anne Neilson and Brian Pearson.
Love on Death Row
Kathi Mokgatla’s ‘Love on Death Row’, the story of her life in apartheid South Africa, a Research Collections publication, was launched with a book signing on 19 May 2009. To buy a copy please click on the link.

Research Collections Lunchtime Seminars
Last year Research Collections launched their Lunchtime Seminar series with a talk delivered by Dr. Philip Tonner entitled 'The Significance of the Thing: the Importance of Collecting'. Print and PDF versions of this seminar are now available via the Research Collections Publications page.
