Research & Innovation Services
Our central function is to support the development of the university’s research activities, and we work closely with academic researchers in the university's schools and Research Institutes to help develop our applied research activity. Other functions include:
- Helping external clients and potential collaborators access the university’s academic research base
- Providing expert support in the development of research and innovation projects for funding via academic consortia and partnerships
- Identifying the latest opportunities for collaborations
- Helping to facilitate links with appropriate funders
- Developing links with external partners such as Scottish Enterprise
- Offering support in the commercialisation of research
