Caledonian Environment Centre
The Caledonian Environment Centre (CEC) conducts research and consultancy as part of the university's School of the Built and Natural Environment. CEC has a wide range of skills and expertise in relation to the environmental and sustainability agendas and community engagement.
Together with other university resources and personnel, the centre has been offering these skills to businesses and other organisations for over 10 years, making CEC a first-rate example of a public sector, private sector and academic partnership. The centre manages a number of high profile-projects, ranging from market development for recyclates to education and event management, and plays an important role in the strategic direction of waste and resource management in Scotland.
