democrat in Washington
There's nothin' oh so cowardly around
From VT to CA, a phenomenon
Their integrity is buried underground.
'Cause when we are protestin' in Washington
A Democrat can hardly 'ere be found
The Democrats are buying all the Karl Rovin lying
So you're gonna find 'em somewhere out of town..
Rich Feingold likes to call himself
progressive
When he's votin' there on the senate floor,
But to me he looks a little bit regressive
When it's John Roberts that he's votin' for.
And Patrick Leahy made Dick Cheney angry
Made him use a very dirty word
But Patrick lost his voice when it came to make a choice
And not a peep of protest could be heard.
Ellen Tauscher & Mark Udall are
assertin'
To send Iraq another 80,000 more
But a number of these soldiers are desertin'
'Cause they don't like what all the killin's for.
Joe Biden says to win the war on terror
Iraq is gonna be a battleground
But protestin' isn't pretty, so they're gonna flee the city
To someplace that is safely out of town.
Now Teddy says he'll still vote for
John Kerry
Wants to support a Massachusetts man.
Cause John is gonna win the war on terror,
And keep Kyoto Treaty in the can.
If the Democrats could be in opposition
Maybe Guantanamo we'd shut it down,
But torture's not an issue cause Republicans'll dis you
It's easier to just be out of town.
Hillary, O Hillary, the favorite,
You know she really wants to be pres,
But when it comes to murdering Iraqis,
She does whatever Exxon-Mobil says.
And when it comes to burnin' up dioxin
Better take a look in her background.
When people marchin' for their freedom, won't be Hillary to lead 'em.
Cause she'll be hidin' somewhere outta town.
Now who'd a thought Jack Reed would
be a courtin',
Harriet Miers sittin' on the court.
And Howard Dean, the NRA supportin',
He wants to see that uzi used for sport.
O there's nothin like a democrat in DC,
Nothin' that's so cowardly around
Cause when we are protestin', all of them will be a restin'
Where the Democrats are headin' out of town.
All the Democrats are leavin' town.
