Most of you will use a PC whilst at work.

Following a DSE Assessment, you will be referred to Occupational Health if further guidance is needed.

If you have back, neck, or upper limb problems which concern you please contact your line manager who can raise a referral to Occupational Health. We are able to carry out a workstation assessment specific to your needs.

Risk Assessments

Employers are required to assess risks to all their employees and to do what is reasonably practicable to control those risks. They must include any hazards/risks to new and expectant mothers, when conducting this risk assessment.
It is important that female employees inform their employers that they are pregnant, have given birth in the previous six months or are breastfeeding. The notification should be given in writing, as early as possible.

When an employee becomes pregnant, the University takes very seriously its duty of care. Therefore, your line manager will undertake a pregnancy risk assessment. Should there be any medical complications evident or any areas of high risk be identified, your line manager can raise a referral to Occupational Health for further assessment to ensure you are not exposed to any unnecessary risks.
