Journalism commendation for Jenny

GCU graduate Jenny Morrison has won a highly commended award for Young Journalist of the Year at the Highlands and Islands Media Awards.
Jenny, who was awarded 2:1 BA honours degree in Journalism in 2007, submitted three pieces of work from the past year and received a framed certificate and bottle of classic malt whisky from SNP MSP Fergus Ewing, at the press ball.
Over the last few years, she has written for a number of publications in the Highlands and Islands, covering a range of stories, from the possibility and consequences of shifting the constituency boundaries, to the opening of the new Highland Archive Centre, to Take That star Mark Owen's wedding and the RockNess music festival.
