Caledonian Creates 2012 launches

The 2012 exhibition launches on May 22

Students and staff will unveil a grand showcase of the latest innovations in technology, design, gaming, interior design, product design, animation, fashion and multimedia at Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU).

The annual Caledonian Creates exhibition celebrates the talents of staff and students from a range of academic and business backgrounds by bringing together a collective of work and projects from the past year.

From cutting edge gaming software to inspirational fashion, interior architecture innovations to high tech multimedia solutions, Caledonian Creates has become a must-attend event for industry experts, educators and members of the public. It is also a regular on the calendar for Glasgow’s school teachers, who are invited to bring pupils along.

Caledonian Creates 2012 launches on Tuesday 22 May in the Saltire Centre with a private viewing session for invited industry guests, students, families and friends. It opens to the public on Wednesday 23 May and runs until Sunday 27 May. Opening hours are 9am to 5pm.

Professor of Design Innovation and Director for the Centre of Creative Industries, Bruce Wood, said: “This is our opportunity to show the creative face of GCU and demonstrate the ways in which we are inspirational in addressing design, multimedia, technology, marketing, communication, fashion and interior architecture needs.”
